About Me

My name is Ali. My life is full of people, adventures, and misadventures.  This is going to be the place where I share those stories and what I’m learning through it all.  Hopefully it’ll provide you with encouragement, wisdom, and laughter (with me, not at me of course).  Through my life and stories, I want you to be encouraged to chase after Jesus in your daily life too.  I’ll give you examples of what that has looked like for me and my friends over the last few years.  This is why I’m writing.

I have been married for four years and have an adorable almost two-year-old daughter.  In December, I lost my second daughter 21 weeks into my pregnancy.  I work for YoungLives, a ministry of Young Life that places mentors into the lives of teenagers who find themselves pregnant.

What am I most passionate about right now?

Running after Jesus with everything I’ve got.

Opening my home to other people. Even when it requires a lot out of us.

Sharing life with people older than me and younger than me.

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God” – 1 Corinthians 1:18

 Silly things

  1. Glad to have found your blog! You seem like such a fun person to be with 🙂 Oh, I just saw some of your posts re: hospitality. Once my fiance and I are married, opening our homes to people is one of our desires as well! Our first home will probably be his current apartment at seminary (which has an amazing community). Thanks for sharing your hospitality experiences! I look forward to reading more 🙂

    • Our hospitality adventures have been a hilarious journey our first year of marriage. It’s been a great way to serve together.
